When the weather gets colder and the overnight temperature dips below freezing, safeguard your plumbing by unscrewing your garden hoses. This prevents water from freezing in the hose and pipes from bursting.
When temperatures become extremely cold it is important
to open the faucets in the house so that they slowly drip.
This prevents the pipes from freezing up. This helps to protect
your plumbing during cold snaps.

As a kid popcorn was such a joy. Now that you own your home and have it on every ceiling in the house, not so much.
Has it been painted? If you popcorn ceiling has been painted previously it will be more difficult to remove it. The reason for this is the process to remove it is literally just wetting it down and scraping it off. If it has been painted one or more times, the water won't be able to penetrate the paint and unfortunately, you might just need to have it done professionally.

Jane:: What was your first home improvement project? Toni:: I've been doing this kind of stuff since high school. My dad was a roofer and I helped him a lot. So since I was young I've dabbled in home improvement on and off though the first large home improvement project I did was redoing our home. It was an older, abandoned homestead from the 1930's. It had square nails and cheese cloth wallpaper!
